tile mural at YMCA Our custom tile murals are great in bathrooms and showers, in kitchen for backsplashes, countertops, flooring, framed as artwork, and around fireplaces. For businesses, they make great entrance displays, reception area focal points, and decorations in restrooms, break rooms, and kitchens.

This custom tile mural of 6-inch ceramic tiles was mounted directly to a painted cinder block wall. (Note: Red 6 inch tiles to match the 'C' color.)

The design was provided by their rug supplier to match several floor mats at the entrance doors. It simply had to be enlarged, sharpened, and 'sliced' for custom tile printing.

Due to the stability of the cinder block wall, the custom tiles were butt-mounted without grout. In almost all tile installations, the tiles should be spaced and grouted to accommodate wall movement or flexing due to temperature and moisture fluctuations.

Another example of our custom tile reproduction ability is the ceramic tile mural below, made from a digital photograph of original art. The photo of the embroidery was sent to us for reproduction on tile. Click to enlarge, and if you look closely, you will see the texture of the embroidery. That is how sharp our image reproduction is on custom ceramic wall tile! On the right is a more 'painterly' rendition. It is an historic tile mural depicting the railroad crossing of the Virginian and Southern Railroads at the Staunton River in central Virginia.
